Physical Development
This area focuses on fine motor skills to encourage hand and eye coordination and gross motor skills to develop muscles and control over movements.
At ABC we positively promote living a healthy lifestyle, beginning with the food on offer, which is homemade and baked on the premises by a qualified cook.
We encourage the children to develop physical control, mobility, awareness of space and manipulative skills using both indoor and outdoor environments.
They are given opportunities to handle appropriate tools, objects, construction and malleable materials to develop dexterity and increase control.
They use a range of small and large equipment, and balancing and climbing apparatus with increasing skill.
The aim of this is to develop a child's co-ordination and mobility, encouraging confidence, space awareness and balance.
This may be by the use of indoor or outdoor activities such as:
